Backless x Chiffon

Now that I’m officially a graduate, I can focus more time on blogging and traveling. Most of you might be wondering what I will be doing after school, frankly speaking, I don’t know. This is a blank page in a new chapter , and I should take my time to plan out my future. Speaking of which, I will be going to Cali next week, then Hong Kong in July. Traveling helps expand my perspective, and make me realize what to prioritize.

I’m wearing a chiffon backless Alice + Olivia  bodysuit, which can be easily paired with a blazer with jeans for a day time look, or paired with a maxi slit skirt for a night time look. I wouldn’t wear a necklace because I don’t want to cover the neckline which plunges to a deep V. I like to keep this outfit simple and classy- you don’t want to be showing too much skin and become trashy.

Grad Week

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

I can’t believe I will be graduating this week. I still remember crying my eyes out on my high school graduation, because all my friends are going to different colleges, and we won’t be living together in the dorms. I’m sure everyone feels a bit confused, and don’t know what to do after college. Some of us might have jobs lined up, some are going back home for good etc. As for me, I’m planning to enjoy my last summer, and work in Fall. I still have a lot of long term plans in my head, but it will definitely come in play later on. My family will be coming to NYC this week, and I’m super excited to show them around 🙂

PS: Coachella advance sale on 16th May Friday 10AM PDT!

HMD

To all the mommy out there, HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!

I know it’s not easy to raise me, but you’d always be there when I needed you…and you always were. I never really thought about what that meant till I got older and began to realize how often your time and energy were devoted to me. I look at you and see a walking miracle, because you’re so strong. Your unfailing love without limit, and your unselfishness makes me so grateful. I know that I wouldn’t be who I am today without your love. Mom I love you 🙂

Being a mom isn’t that easy, well especially being mine…I was a troublemaker when I was little. (or should I say I still am?) My mom and I wear the same sizes clothes and shoes, we would always share our things.  I remember my first time wearing heels, was borrowing my mom’s 3 inch tall Jimmy Choo. It was very classic, beige patent leather and I had to wear it to my choir recital.  My school was full of lawns, and obviously I wouldn’t know how to walk on grass.  Those Jimmy’s ended up as dirty as my rain boots, let along with scratch marks and torn leather. Thanks mom for letting me borrow and ruin your stuff all the time! I know I can be careless some times…most of the times, but I promise when I start earning big bucks I’ll get you whatever you want 🙂

“M” is for the million things she gave me,
“O” means only that she’s growing old,
“T” is for the tears she shed to save me,
“H” is for her heart of purest gold;
“E” is for her eyes, with love-light shining,
“R” means right, and right she’ll always be,
Put them all together, they spell “MOTHER,”
A word that means the world to me.

Ballerina

Recently my friends have been telling me about horoscopes and how they are very accurate. So I’ve checked out this website, Secret language, and it seems very legit to me. I don’t believe in horoscopes that much, but I do think that there are some hidden reasons why people don’t bond too well with one another even tho everyone is chill.

So I have been recovering from my Coachella weekend, and stayed in LA for an extra week because of the super warm weather. Well, I heard it was cold and rainy in New York, so might as well enjoy the weather. I missed being in LA, there are so many good food and nice people around. It was a good getaway place for me to clear my head and think about what to do after graduation.

I don’t like to wear long skirts, but this skirt from J Brand is very structured and I like that it’s high waist so I could easily pair it with a cropped top. When I was young, I love going to ballet classes, until my parents stopped me from going because they didn’t want me to be on the tippy toes ballet shoes. Speaking of ballet, I went to a ballet bungee class in Chaise Fitness today.  It utilizes the overhead bungee system to sculpt your arms and challenge your core as if you danced for hours by using pliés, tendus and attitudes. So imagine yourself like a puppet dancing ballet, it was a good workout for my calves and thighs. Also reminded me of little Annette 🙂

Belated Coachella

I don’t even know where to start, Coachella was so much fun! This was my first time going to a 3 day long festival. I thought it would be dreadful, but it wasn’t as bad as I thought (just needed couple days to recover). Day one was really tiring, because I drove into Palm Springs in the morning then went to Coachella shortly after. I slept like a baby that night 😛 The only thing I couldn’t stand was the LONGGG bus ride to and fro the venue (around 45 mins)- going there was better because everyone was so pumped up and blasting music, however coming back home took forever! Day two was super hot, but Pharrell’s performance was so worth it. He brought in T.I, Usher and Jay Z, and ended his performance with “Happy”. I started day three with Calvin Harris and Alesso, then Lana Del Rey was just bleh. I would say the best act would be Alesso, Zedd and Pharrel.

Sorry I didn’t take much photos until the last day.  I can’t wait to go back again next year with my Coachella family 🙂 Thanks everyone for this awesome experience! And special thanks to Winnie  & Marcus for my really cute handmade headpiece  x.

Pre-Coachella

Since Jennifer won’t be traveling to Los Angeles with me for Spring Break, I had to wear my outfit in Central Park. ( it’s kind of like a dessert without those green trees.. yea?) I’m now in LA enjoying the nice beach and weather. I know it’s snowing and super cold in NYC, hope everyone bundles up!  Coachella starts tomorrow and you guys will get more photos of my trip 🙂

Sleek-ish

Even though it’s already April, it’s still around the 50s degree- which means I can still wear fur and leather and people won’t stop and stare. Most of the time when I go out at night, I tend to dress up slightly more.  During warmer weathers I would wear a dress, but this season I’m into crop tops with pants/ skirts. Maybe Miley inspired me? Haha.

One more week till spring break, and I’ll be getting my nice tan from Cali! Woohoo! can’t wait! I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend 🙂

Not Spring Yet

Is anyone sick of this warm and cold weather in NYC? Ahhh! Thanks to global warming.Well, I can’t wait till the warm sunlight and spring breeze (no pollen please). Almost every spring break, Camille would come visit me from Paris, and we would go to Cali. However, she has to intern for her senior year. So this year, I’m planning to go to Coachella weekend 2! super excited! I need to soak in some nice California sunshine.

On another note, I would like to take a moment to pray for the 239 casualties of MH370,their family and loved ones. This incident is very unfortunate, and make us all appreciate how lucky we are to get to open our eyes every morning and breathe.  Just to be awake and be surround by your love ones.  We often take things for granted, and wasting our time.  This is a good time to change our outlook and start looking ahead to a new way of doing things, a new vision for life.

Snow Leopard

Hello Hello! Since the last time I updated, I have been back to Hong Kong twice. Super busy traveling back and forth for my family 🙂 I’m glad that the snow storms are officially over, and spring is slowly coming. My favorite weathers are fall and spring- summer and winter are too extreme for me.  I don’t like being in the cold weather much ( first snow is pretty, but those icy wind afterwards… no thanks). Most of the time I look like a big fat bear when I’m outdoors, because I wearing a lot of thick layers on top of a thin layer- it gets really warm indoors.

Sorry for the belated update, I’ll be in New York for a while so I will be updating more! 🙂

NYR

Happy New Year! Hope everyone had an awesome start of the year. I make a new year resolution list every year, and last year one of them is being a blogger 🙂 so I would like to thank you all for supporting my blog for almost a year! I know it’s not as consistent and interesting as others, but I promise I’ll work on it this year. Thanks for all of your support and interesting ideas to make my blog grow 🙂

Speaking of New Year, I got myself a pair of new eyes! I had to wear glasses since 10 years old, and started wearing contacts around 13. After wearing contacts for a long period of  time, my eye doctor told me I shouldn’t be wearing contacts anymore, because my eyes are infected and the cornea are starting to damage, so he suggested to do LASIK. It was definitely the most scariest (not painful) moment I had so far, but it was so worth it. Now I wake up and see everything nice and clear 🙂 But I still have that old habit of stretching my arms to the nightstand to find my glasses before I open my eyes.
