Shearling’s Back In Style (Was it Ever Out?)

Happy Snow Day!! I’m so glad I get to work from home today (I think my dogs are also)! I hope you all stay safe and warm 🙂 I can’t believe it’s still snowing in March, but I’m glad that Winter is almost over… or is it ?

So I’m usually not a big shearling fan and I’m not sure about you guys, but if I’m going to wear fur it may as well be Fox or Rabbit and not trimmed down sheep, am I right? However, shearling is super warm and it has a different texture than other animal furs so it is nice to switch it up now and then. Also one great point about shearling is not only is it great for cold days in the Winter  like today but it is also great for chilly days in the Spring or Fall (doesn’t look like you are over-doing it) where a fur jacket might look totally out of place (I made the mistake of wearing my fur coat out on a day that turned out to be not so cold and having to lug it around was THE WORST, not to mention I looked like John Snow minus the snow).

Nowadays there are so many brands carrying women’s shearling jackets especially shearling bombers and over-sized shearling coats. My dogs even have matching shearling jackets! The shearling works great for dogs because it is tightly packed and doesn’t get in the way since it is lot shorter than most other furs, normally the shearling goes on the inside to keep your puppy warm and then the leather is on the outside to shield them from the cold winds, perfect for short hair breeds like my chihuahuas. So, having said all that I had to get myself a shearling jacket to keep up with the trend 😉

Oh BTW, I’m currently working on a project for Fall/Winter and I’m super excited to show you guys what it is when it’s ready 🙂 Stay tuned!

Now that I’m officially a graduate, I can focus more time on blogging and traveling. Most of you might be wondering what I will be doing after school, frankly speaking, I don’t know. This is a blank page in a new chapter , and I should take my time to plan out my future. Speaking of which, I will be going to Cali next week, then Hong Kong in July. Traveling helps expand my perspective, and make me realize what to prioritize.

I’m wearing a chiffon backless Alice + Olivia  bodysuit, which can be easily paired with a blazer with jeans for a day time look, or paired with a maxi slit skirt for a night time look. I wouldn’t wear a necklace because I don’t want to cover the neckline which plunges to a deep V. I like to keep this outfit simple and classy- you don’t want to be showing too much skin and become trashy.

Think only of the best, work only for the best, and expect only the best. Forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. Give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others. Live in the faith that the whole world is on your side so long as you are true to the best that is in you!”  Christian D. Larson

Snow Leopard

Hello Hello! Since the last time I updated, I have been back to Hong Kong twice. Super busy traveling back and forth for my family 🙂 I’m glad that the snow storms are officially over, and spring is slowly coming. My favorite weathers are fall and spring- summer and winter are too extreme for me.  I don’t like being in the cold weather much ( first snow is pretty, but those icy wind afterwards… no thanks). Most of the time I look like a big fat bear when I’m outdoors, because I wearing a lot of thick layers on top of a thin layer- it gets really warm indoors.

Sorry for the belated update, I’ll be in New York for a while so I will be updating more! 🙂

“Watch the sunrise at least once a year, put a lot of marshmallows in your hot chocolate, lie on your back and look at the stars, never buy a coffee table you can’t put your feet on, never pass up a chance to jump on a trampoline, don’t overlook life’s small joys while searching for the big ones.” by H. Diva & Her Puppy

I feel like a baa baa sheep wearing this big, fluffy shearling jacket. It looks like it’s a very warm jacket, but it really isn’t.  The weather in New York has been very odd lately- super cold  & windy one day, then hot the other day. Thanks to global warming!  When I was living in LA, people often put bling out collars and wear fancy tees for their little doggies. However in New York people put their dogs into their handbags, and shop in luxury department stores. It’s a complete different level of babying their puppies. Since Charcoal is a dude,I made him wear a shearling jacket so we could both be matchie matchie 🙂  (I’ve been getting a lot of comments saying that Charcoal looks like me… really? Charcoal=Me Me= Dog? Like mother like son I guess)

Turkey Day is coming up, which meant eat eat eat and shop shop shop!
