Juicing
Recently I have been making a lot of juices. Thanks to my good friend, Serena, who got me a juice maker for graduation. I started my first juice cleansing in February with Blue Print Cleanse, because I wanted to detox (mainly from alcohol). In the beginning, I was reluctant to try the green juice because it seems disgusting. However after tasting Blue Print’s green juice I fell in love with it. Not only I felt healthy consuming so many vegetables, but I felt like I was treating my body right with all of the vitamins and minerals in the ridiculous amount of fresh produce I was juicing each day.
I have been experimenting different juices and recipes and most of my friends love my green juice recipe:
1 rib of celery
5 romaine leaves
1 cucumber (adding freshness)
2 apples (makes it sweeter and less “grassy”)
1 cup of parsley
1 cup of kale
1 handful of spinach
1 slice of lemon
1 slice of lime
ginger (I love it super gingery)
I’ve got a good beet juice recipe too! but I felt like the green juice is much healthier. Enjoy 🙂
