WANG

Thanks for Jen for getting me this cropped A.Wang sweater 🙂  The collection is  pretty interesting, and the choice of fabric they chose are better than the regular H&M ones, however it’s not my favorite.  I got the sports bra (posted on my Insta) and that wasn’t super stretchy, but the crisis-crossing design made up for it. Moreover this WANG cropped top looks boxy and good, but it’s not that comfortable to wear it because it’s not that soft. However, I really like the design of this collection, it’s very sporty and unique.

Brooklyn x LA

You might get sick of this pullover from my Instagram already haha. This is one of my favorite pullover which I got in Kitson LA.  I’ve been really into unisex clothing lately. I love that it’s slightly oversized, and the shoulders are meshed. The only thing is that this should come out with a New York version 😉 People often ask how do I walk with my Alaias, but I swear they are super comfy, even tho they at least 6 inches tall with a 2 inch platform.

So quick update, I’ve been busy interning in a small leather fashion house VEDA. I love their style and most of their garments are made in leather. Please check out their products in here. Let me know if you want anything, I could get discounts 🙂

This time, Jennifer and I were feeling a bit adventurous and went to Brooklyn for the photo shoot instead. I couldn’t believe I have been missing out that much cool stuff in Williamsburg. I love how artsy is it on the streets of Brooklyn. You get couple huge graffiti along your way, and a lot of vintage looking furniture stores and fashion boutiques around.

Last but not least, I’m super excited for Halloween this year! Jennifer, Serena and I will be matching! (Technically charcoal is part of this too, but I can’t bring him out)  I bet you guys can’t guess what we will be, but hint hint, I’m going to be burn…burn.. burn… yaaaaa! For the past couple years, I’ve been trying to mix scary ideas and sexy outfits together to create something special. Last year, I was a vampire french maid. And the year before I was a skeleton ballerina. Halloween is one of my favorite “seasons”, since I started thinking what I want to be in the beginning of October, and I feast on dessert everyday. Hmm, by everyday I mean like I do eat ice cream or cookies for breakfast. My theory is that I’m going to eat it anyways, might as well have it in the morning and have more time to burn out the calories, right? Oh well. Happy Halloween everyone! mwauhahahaha :[

imjenhung Exhibition

I just landed Milan! Super excited to be traveling with Mama Lo for 2 weeks in Europe. I will be attending leather fair trade shows, and will be doing some quality shopping. Summer has been really hectic traveling around, but don’t worry I will get back on track with my blog.

It is my honor to be Jennifer Hung’s model for her exhibition in Hong Kong last month. It was a really interesting project, as you can see my face is covered with acrylic paint. I’m glad she so passionate with her creative artwork and I can’t wait to show you guys her upcoming projects! Here are her art works that are displaying in Hong Kong. Enjoy!

Queen of the Night

Last weekend, I went to Queen of the Night to celebrate my best friend, Winnie’s birthday. It was my second time to watch this show, and I would like to say it was another awesome experience.  If you haven’t been to this show, I would highly recommend you to go. It’s an opportunity for you to dress up a bit, drink, dine and be delighted by the theater, cuisine, magic and nightlife. Once you walk into the theater, you have a feeling you’re part of the show, the butlers would guide you to different places to perform. You can walk around and explore the rooms, and most people are dressed up so it’s confusing who is part of the show. After walking around, the actors will guide you to your seats, and serve dinner- pork, beef or seafood. If you want other food options, you have to trade your food with them ( like olden days lol). Then the show continues and the actors feed you dessert at the end of the show. The whole theme of the show is love, I can’t particularly tell you the story line, but it’s mostly consist of actors doing magics and acrobatics. If you’re in the city, and would like to watch a show, I would highly recommend watching Queen of the Night instead of  any other Broadway shows, I don’t think you could get this experience in any other places.

Denim On Denim

I’m not too sure when denim on denim is back in trend, but last time I’ve checked it was back when Britney Spears was still popping. I decided to try on my denims and realized that it doesn’t look that bad! (Maybe because I’m used to seeing all the bloggers wearing denim and denim already) However, I think the secret to pulling off the look is to wear different shades of denim- lighter shades draw attentions while darker shades create a slimming effect. Moreover, if you have similar shades, you can play with the different washes, fabrics, and prints on the denim. If you want a more chic look, you can wear a pair of boyfriend jeans or skinny jeans with a denim shirt or jacket (white tee inside) and pair the outfit with a pointy or open toes heels.

Stormy Stars

I’ve got this weird thing about the sky. I love how it changes colors, not just blue but almost every color you can create from a palette. Due to the bright lights in New York, it’s so hard to see stars. However, I remember seeing my first falling star when I was in Massachusetts. I want to say I made a wish, and it came true- but I forgot what wish I made.

Since I’m wearing a see-through shirt, I wore a comfy bralette underneath instead of a black top.  It’s summer and we should show some skin 😛 It might sound a bit crazy to wear leather in summer, but I don’t think leather shorts are that hot (well don’t go tanning with them). Actually one of my favorite pair of shorts is my leather boxers from Haute Hippie. I’ve worn them couple times in my blog. You can never go wrong with black & white 🙂

If you’re considering to get a Furla Candy bag, please be aware that it’s PVC, it gets dirty SUPER easy. Not just that, but it changes its shape easily too. Basically, I wouldn’t suggest getting one- unless you want a rain proof bag. And these A.Wangs are super comfy 🙂 I got them during spring sale.

Keep going on, no matter what you do, no matter how many times you screw up and think to yourself, “there’s no point to carry on,” no matter how many people tell you that you can’t do it- keep going. Don’t quit. Don’t quit, because a month from now you will be that much closer to your goal than you are now. Yesterday you said tomorrow. Make today count

Summer Maxi Dress

I tend to dress up a tiny bit girly during Summer, because there are a lot of cute summer dresses. I’ve got this Yumi Kim maxi dress last season, and never wore it because I didn’t hem it. (I’m 5’4 and I either have to hem my dress or roll them up) I like maxi dresses because it can easily transform from casual to formal. It’s really tricky to wear long flowy dresses and not to look short- that’s where you wear your 5 inches tall heels and people think you’re so tall because the dress covers your platforms 😉 Oh and another trick of mine is if you do want to wear maxi skirts/dress wear the ones with slits and wear open toes shoes- even tho it means flip flops. I think that it makes your legs look longer and definitely leaner.

Juicing

Recently I have been making a lot of juices. Thanks to my good friend, Serena, who got me a juice maker for graduation. I started my first juice cleansing in February with Blue Print Cleanse, because I wanted to detox (mainly from alcohol).  In the beginning, I was reluctant to try the green juice because it seems disgusting.   However after tasting Blue Print’s green juice I fell in love with it. Not only I felt healthy consuming so many vegetables, but I felt like I was treating my body right with all of the vitamins and minerals in the ridiculous amount of fresh produce I was juicing each day.

I have been experimenting different juices and recipes and most of my friends love my green juice recipe:
1 rib of celery
5 romaine leaves
1 cucumber (adding freshness)
2 apples (makes it sweeter and less “grassy”)
1 cup of parsley
1 cup of kale
1 handful of spinach
1 slice of lemon
1 slice of lime
ginger (I love it super gingery)
I’ve got a good beet juice recipe too! but I felt like the green juice is much healthier. Enjoy 🙂

Easy Breezy

You know it’s summer time in NYC, when you consider the wind from an approaching subway a nice “breeze”. Unfortunately, we can’t be like guys walking around topless under this heat. I mostly wear crop tops, tanks, sleeveless tees- the less cloth the better (by that means cover the goodies!) I found my favorite intimate top, the bralette for this summer.  It’s easy to pair it with any tees (open or non-open back) and it’s so comfortable.

I really like this muscle tee from Truly Madly Deeply, the details with the drop back chains and crystal makes it one of a kind. If you’re looking for some interesting cuts and designs of tees for the summer, I would highly recommend Truly Madly Deeply from Urban Outfitters. They are affordable and have good quality.  Oh! AllSaints is having 30% sale- time to stock up on their comfy pants!
