Sorry I’ve been gone for a while. I stopped blogging because I didn’t think anyone was reading my blog and my writing sucks. Either way, I got a nice little email from one of my supporters and inspired me to keep up with my blog.

So, I have been working for Alida Boer on her brand Maria’s. For those of you who don’t know Alida, she is a former Ms. Guatemala and supermodel. Her brand Maria’s utilizes the traditional Mayan weaving to create one of a kind handbags. Not only each bag can’t be reproduced, it also represents different regions, marital background, social statues and different stories behind the artisans.  Here’s a little more about Maria’s bag and the difference between all the regions in Guatemala.

We had a press preview launch party last Tuesday before Fashion week started. The party turned out to be amazing and lot of people came. Wish you guys came! Next time, I’ll blog about it and everyone will be invited 🙂 To see more photos of the party, please press here.

Thanks for Jen for getting me this cropped A.Wang sweater 🙂  The collection is  pretty interesting, and the choice of fabric they chose are better than the regular H&M ones, however it’s not my favorite.  I got the sports bra (posted on my Insta) and that wasn’t super stretchy, but the crisis-crossing design made up for it. Moreover this WANG cropped top looks boxy and good, but it’s not that comfortable to wear it because it’s not that soft. However, I really like the design of this collection, it’s very sporty and unique.

Queen of the Night

Last weekend, I went to Queen of the Night to celebrate my best friend, Winnie’s birthday. It was my second time to watch this show, and I would like to say it was another awesome experience.  If you haven’t been to this show, I would highly recommend you to go. It’s an opportunity for you to dress up a bit, drink, dine and be delighted by the theater, cuisine, magic and nightlife. Once you walk into the theater, you have a feeling you’re part of the show, the butlers would guide you to different places to perform. You can walk around and explore the rooms, and most people are dressed up so it’s confusing who is part of the show. After walking around, the actors will guide you to your seats, and serve dinner- pork, beef or seafood. If you want other food options, you have to trade your food with them ( like olden days lol). Then the show continues and the actors feed you dessert at the end of the show. The whole theme of the show is love, I can’t particularly tell you the story line, but it’s mostly consist of actors doing magics and acrobatics. If you’re in the city, and would like to watch a show, I would highly recommend watching Queen of the Night instead of  any other Broadway shows, I don’t think you could get this experience in any other places.

Belated Coachella

I don’t even know where to start, Coachella was so much fun! This was my first time going to a 3 day long festival. I thought it would be dreadful, but it wasn’t as bad as I thought (just needed couple days to recover). Day one was really tiring, because I drove into Palm Springs in the morning then went to Coachella shortly after. I slept like a baby that night 😛 The only thing I couldn’t stand was the LONGGG bus ride to and fro the venue (around 45 mins)- going there was better because everyone was so pumped up and blasting music, however coming back home took forever! Day two was super hot, but Pharrell’s performance was so worth it. He brought in T.I, Usher and Jay Z, and ended his performance with “Happy”. I started day three with Calvin Harris and Alesso, then Lana Del Rey was just bleh. I would say the best act would be Alesso, Zedd and Pharrel.

Sorry I didn’t take much photos until the last day.  I can’t wait to go back again next year with my Coachella family 🙂 Thanks everyone for this awesome experience! And special thanks to Winnie  & Marcus for my really cute handmade headpiece  x.
