The other weekend in New York was slightly chilly and rainy and I was going out to eat and just wanted to be comfy but still look presentable so I decided to share with you guys how I did it! I am sure I’m not the only one to do this but sometimes I will go into Bobby’s closet and dig out whatever looks and feels the comfiest and call it MY outfit of the day. Well Bobby is 6’3″ and I’m 5’4″ so his sweaters mostly fit like dresses for me.. isn’t that kind of a trend now? At the end of the day, I look cuter with it on so that’s what matters most πŸ˜‰ Just kidding ( Because Bobby is totally reading this).

I find the “boyfriend sweater” style super time efficient when I get ready. I usually pull out this look when I know I don’t have enough time to get ready. Here’s the equation to it: Sweater (make sure it’s big enough but not like homeless kinda baggy) + shorts (basically just to cover your ass ) + heels ( just because I’m a shorty)

I’ve been trying to find a good quality and affordable leather backpack. I know that this is a fad and didn’t want to splurge on a very nice one… plus I don’t see myself as a backpack girl anyway. I was stumbling around Instagram and found Camelia – their bags are all made in Rome with Italian leather. Their craftsmanship is top notch and yet the prices are reasonable. I’m totally in love with my backpack and have been using it everyday. This has replaced my workout bag, because this looks super cute with my workout outfits and its so convenient when I’m carrying other things.

Oh! And these boots are from Tony Bianco- Australia. I didn’t realized there are so many up and coming designers in Australia! I love their Diddy Boots I actually got two pairs in different colors πŸ˜‰ Heads up: they fit 1/2 size smaller than your normal shoe size

Happy Memorial Day Weekend! I hope you all had a nice little vacay πŸ™‚ Bobby and I decided to stay in New York for the holiday because we will be heading to Los Angeles next month. Also – it has been rainy/cloudy here all weekend and I wanted to be able to lay on my couch in my PJ’s and munch on some snacks and watch TVΒ Β  all weekend (shh don’t tell my trainer!).

By the way, how awkward is it to pose for photos in busy locations?! I still get shy because people always stop and wonder what you are doing or look and stare. I usually love to stay in the city on holidays and take my vacations onΒ  non-holiday weekends.Β  It’s because the city gets super quiet, and we were able to walk through the streets to take cool photos for the blog without having people stop for us. Well, it’s usually not a big problem for me because I am just posing but Bobby is always dodging cars and waiting for people to get out of the frame so it was definitely easier for him to get the shots this time. So if you travel on off days or stay in big cities on three day weekends make sure you make the most of it and get some good pictures!

I wasn’t planning on doing a blog post, but found this really cool door in the Meatpacking District after having brunch at Catch. A little history for you who don’t live in New York- In the mid-18th century, the Meatpacking District was a residential and industrial area that produced heavy iron work. Fast forward to the early-19th century, the district was filled with slaughter houses, and this is where the name “Meatpacking District’ came from. When you walk around the area, there are still a lot of heavy iron work, which combined with large entrance ways that were created to help transport the meat, creates a very cool rustic atmosphere. Also – the Meatpacking District is well known for their cobblestone streets but I didn’t get a chance to take photos on them this time (but don’t worry I have some cobblestone shots coming up for you very soon!), I was too focused on this cool looking entrance way.

Whenever Bobby and I go out, we often get compliments (sometimes I can’t tell if they think it is silly or cool but I’ll take it as a compliment anyway!) on how we are matching. I decided to add a couple photos of him to my blog, and share with you guys how I help pick his outfits too πŸ˜‰ He takes so long to get ready, and changes multiple times before he can pick the outfit – It’s like a mini fashion show for me. I swear he takes longer to get ready than me and his outfits are a lot more simple! I know he is reading this though so I will stop there before I lose my photographer.
